ESL Competition Premiership Season 17

This event is hosted in Trackmania and in the title(s) Trackmania² Stadium. You should participate in a group or team formation and registration is required. You need to have the title pack Competition Titlepack installed. And there is a map pool that you can contribute to.

In the last years we always tried to follow the actual happenings in the tech scene, especially how teams are being formed, how strong activities and aims are displayed to the community and for the fans.

Last time we had to cut the CPS structure into two parts where we marked which teams belong more to the 'elite' or 'professional' division, and which are the ones playing for fun, or trying to get into the Premier League.

The struggle, however, never stops regarding which teams are getting where, and finally we would like to cut this story as well, for good. There is no better way to form divisions and groups than have the teams show what they worth - and this is what will happen from the 17th season on.

 The most worthy slots from the Premier League are to be kept - Playoff teams are called back
 Remaining slots (amount based on registrations) are to be taken by a small qualification phase
 Open league divisions are also decided by the same qualification procedure

Therefore, the Competition Premiership season will consist of three parts:

Qualifications
And not Relegations: relegations are based on previous editions, and that is something we would like to get rid of.
 Format: groupstage (1 week with 2-3 matches)

Groupstage
Just like the normal groupstage format.

Playoffs
Playoffs, also with the known format (see CPS16 playoffs format).
